TERMS OF SERVICE

Please read these Terms of Service and Digital File License ("Terms") carefully before purchasing, downloading, or using any digital product from Novice Lab Works ("Novice Lab Works," "we," "us," or "our").
By purchasing, downloading, or accessing a digital product from Novice Lab Works, you ("Customer," "Purchaser," or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not purchase, download, or use our digital products.
1. Digital Products Only
All products sold by Novice Lab Works are digital products unless expressly stated otherwise on the applicable product page. No physical armor, helmet, prop, accessory, hardware, printed component, material, or other physical item is included with the purchase of a digital product.
Photographs, renders, completed builds, prototypes, printed components, and other physical examples displayed on our website, social media accounts, or promotional materials are provided for reference, illustration, and demonstration purposes only. Such imagery does not indicate or imply that a physical product will be shipped or otherwise provided with your purchase.
2. Personal-Use License
Purchase of a Novice Lab Works digital product grants the original purchaser a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the supplied digital files for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Under this license, you may:
- Download and maintain reasonable backup copies of your purchased files for your own use.
- 3D print purchased files for your own personal builds.
- Scale, orient, split, support, repair, reinforce, or otherwise reasonably modify files as necessary for personal fit, printing, assembly, or fabrication.
- Finish, paint, assemble, wear, display, photograph, and otherwise personally use physical items you create from the files.
Purchase of a digital product does not transfer ownership of the digital files or any applicable intellectual-property rights to the purchaser.
3. File Sharing, Transfer & Redistribution
Digital files obtained from Novice Lab Works may not be shared, gifted, traded, transferred, sublicensed, resold, or redistributed to another individual or organization except as expressly permitted under Section 5 for third-party fabrication services.
Files may not be uploaded or distributed through file-sharing websites, repositories, marketplaces, forums, social-media groups, shared cloud-storage folders, peer-to-peer networks, or similar services.
Files may not be incorporated into another digital product, collection, archive, model pack, or download for distribution.
These restrictions apply to the original files as well as modified, converted, remeshed, repaired, resized, derived, or otherwise altered versions of those files.
4. Physical Reproduction & Commercial Use
Unless expressly authorized in writing by Novice Lab Works or permitted under a separate commercial license, digital products are licensed solely for the original purchaser's personal, non-commercial use.
You may not use Novice Lab Works files to manufacture physical items for commercial sale, resale, trade, mass production, or other commercial distribution.
You may not create molds, casts, masters, tooling, or other reproduction methods from physical prints derived from Novice Lab Works files for the purpose of commercial reproduction or distribution.
Purchase of multiple copies of a digital product does not grant commercial manufacturing, kit-making, resale, or redistribution rights.
Commercial licenses or other permissions may be offered separately at the sole discretion of Novice Lab Works.
5. Third-Party Printing & Fabrication Services
Purchasers who do not own suitable equipment may provide the files necessary for their personal build to a third-party printing or fabrication service solely for the purpose of producing physical components for that purchaser.
Providing files to a third-party service does not grant that service any independent license to retain, reuse, reproduce, modify for resale, sell, redistribute, or otherwise use the files for itself or for another customer.
The purchaser remains responsible for taking reasonable steps to ensure that any third-party service receiving the files understands these restrictions and deletes its working copies after completing the requested fabrication.
A third-party printing or fabrication service may charge the purchaser for materials, machine time, labor, shipping, and related fabrication services. Such payment does not grant the service any continuing or independent rights to the digital files.
6. Personal Modifications & Derivative Files
Purchasers may modify files as reasonably necessary for their own personal build, including scaling, splitting, fitting, reinforcement, print preparation, or similar fabrication-related changes.
Modification of a purchased file does not create a new license or transfer ownership of the underlying digital product.
Modified or derivative versions of Novice Lab Works files may not be sold, shared, published, uploaded, sublicensed, or redistributed without prior written authorization from Novice Lab Works.
7. Digital Delivery, Final Sale & Refunds
Digital products are delivered electronically using the delivery method identified during or following checkout.
Because downloadable digital products may be accessed or copied following delivery, sales of downloaded or accessed digital products are final except where a refund, cancellation, replacement, or other remedy is required by applicable law.
Customers are responsible for reviewing product descriptions, included files, file formats, compatibility information, and other stated requirements before purchasing.
If you experience a technical problem with a purchased file or believe you have received an incorrect, incomplete, or corrupted download, please contact Novice Lab Works so the issue can be investigated and, where appropriate, corrected.
8. Product Updates, Revisions & Supplemental Content
The original purchaser of a digital product will receive access to updates made to that purchased product when those updates consist of bug fixes, file repairs, corrections, or improvements to the accuracy or functionality of the originally purchased files.
Novice Lab Works may continually revise its digital models as additional reference material becomes available, fabrication issues are identified, or opportunities for improved accuracy, printability, or functionality are discovered. Qualifying revisions to the originally purchased product will be made available to the original purchaser without an additional purchase price.
This update policy does not guarantee access to future supplemental products, newly created components, accessories, alternate versions, expanded file sets, additional designs, or other content that was not included within the product at the time of the original purchase.
Novice Lab Works reserves the right to determine whether future content constitutes an update to an existing product or a separate supplemental product.
Supplemental products may be offered separately for purchase at the discretion of Novice Lab Works.
Where appropriate, Novice Lab Works may choose to offer existing purchasers a discounted price, upgrade price, bundle credit, or other promotional consideration toward related or supplemental products. Such discounts are discretionary and are not guaranteed by the original purchase.
Unless otherwise stated, updates and revisions remain subject to the same license terms applicable to the original purchased product.
9. Accuracy, Fit & Fabrication
Novice Lab Works strives to create highly detailed digital models developed through available visual references, research, testing, and practical fabrication considerations. However, Novice Lab Works does not represent or warrant that any model is a perfect or exact reproduction of an original production asset.
Reference materials, interpretations, and available information may change over time, and differences may exist between costumes, props, production versions, reference sources, and on-screen appearances.
3D printing results may vary based on printer hardware, material, slicer settings, scaling, orientation, supports, environmental conditions, post-processing, assembly methods, and user experience.
Customers are responsible for determining appropriate sizing, fit, materials, print settings, assembly methods, and suitability for their intended personal use.
10. Safety & Assumption of Risk
Fabricating physical items from digital files may involve heated equipment, power tools, cutting tools, adhesives, paints, solvents, resins, sanding, drilling, fumes, or other potentially hazardous materials or processes.
Customers are responsible for following manufacturer instructions and using appropriate equipment, ventilation, personal protective equipment, materials, and safe fabrication practices.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Novice Lab Works is not responsible for failed prints, wasted materials, equipment damage, property damage, personal injury, or other losses resulting from the purchaser's fabrication, modification, assembly, finishing, or use of a digital product.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
11. Third-Party Intellectual Property & Independent Status
Novice Lab Works is an independent, fan-created project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, licensed by, or otherwise officially connected with Lucasfilm Ltd. LLC, The Walt Disney Company, or their respective affiliates or subsidiaries.
Certain products, designs, terminology, imagery, or reference materials appearing on this website may be inspired by or refer to characters, costumes, props, settings, or other elements associated with third-party intellectual property.
STAR WARS and related names, characters, designs, trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual property are the property of Lucasfilm Ltd. LLC, The Walt Disney Company, and/or their respective rights holders, as applicable.
Novice Lab Works asserts rights only in its own original contributions, including its independently created digital modeling work, digital files, Novice Lab Works branding, original website content, documentation, and other original material, to the extent such rights exist under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to claim ownership of underlying third-party intellectual property.
Purchase of a Novice Lab Works digital product does not grant the purchaser any license or authorization from Lucasfilm Ltd. LLC, The Walt Disney Company, or any other third-party rights holder.
12. Enforcement & Termination of License
Novice Lab Works reserves the right, where permitted by applicable law, to suspend or terminate account access, download access, or the personal-use license associated with a material violation of these Terms.
Unauthorized copying, redistribution, resale, publication, or commercial exploitation of Novice Lab Works digital files may result in appropriate enforcement action.
Termination of a license does not grant the purchaser any right to distribute, retain for redistribution, sell, or otherwise exploit copies of the affected digital files.
13. Changes to These Terms
Novice Lab Works may revise these Terms from time to time. The current version and its effective date will be published on this website.
Material changes to these Terms will apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise. Changes to these Terms do not retroactively convert previously authorized use into a violation.
